Surah Al Fil With Arabic Text and English Translation

 The elephant (Arabic: أَلْفِيل‎, al-fīl) is the 105th section (surah) of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah comprising of 5 stanzas. The surah is written in the inquisitive structure.

Surat Al Fil Intro:

This surah, as the name infers, alludes to the notable authentic occasion that occurred in the time of the introduction of the Blessed Prophet (s) when Allah safeguarded the Kaaba from the assault of the multitude of agnostics who, riding on the backs of elephants, came from Yemen determined to obliterate it.

This surah is a sign of the supernatural occasion that many individuals of Makkah recall since it happened quite recently.

Recite Surah Al Fil in Arabic

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

اَلَمْ تَرَ كَیْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِاَصْحٰبِ الْفِیْلِؕ(۱)  اَلَمْ یَجْعَلْ كَیْدَهُمْ فِیْ تَضْلِیْلٍۙ(۲)  وَّ اَرْسَلَ عَلَیْهِمْ طَیْرًا اَبَابِیْلَۙ(۳)  تَرْمِیْهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّنْ سِجِّیْلٍﭪ(۴)  فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّاْكُوْلٍ۠(۵)

Surat al Fil Translation in English

  1. Have you not seen1 how your Lord dealt with the people of the elephants?
  2. Did He not bring their plan3 to naught?
  3. And He sent against them swarms of birds
  4. which smote them with stones of baked clay,
  5. and made them like straw eaten up (by cattle).
